The spring summer 2010 makeup trends are all about light and bright colours. Pinks, corals, greens and vibrant lips. It’s a winner!
Although the makeup trends for the upcoming bridal season are bolder than what we’ve seen in the past few years, this doesn’t mean you can’t have that understated classic look and still keep up with the newest makeup colour trends. Many of my brides want to know what’s trendy “today” in makeup – what colours are “in” and because I am involved in the fashion industry I’m always up to date on what’s coming and what’s hot. Bright colours are in for spring and summer this year and some of my brides will want that bold kick of colour while others will want a muted interpretation of colour. They want to feel modern yet classic at the same time. My speciality!
Let’s say you have lovely green eyes and you want them to pop but look natural and beautiful at the same time. I might apply a gorgeous pale pink or mauve to a certain area’s of your eye lids bringing the colour of your eyes out in full. Perhaps your lips are your focal point…I might dress them up in bold red or matte soft coral, depending on your taste and the style/colours of your wedding. It’s all about what works for you and making you glow!
The beauty of makeup is knowing how to bring your best features out but still allowing “you” to show through.
What’s “in” for hair this coming season?
Hair trends this coming season are all about natural “do’s” and moveable locks. Soft curls, up do’s that look natural and bouncy. If you have shorter hair, you might want to try a soft slick look or lovely bouncy curls that last all day and evening. It’s all about shiny healthy looking hair that shows off your beauty – nothing that overpowers your dress or your makeup but something that works to pull your look together in one stunning package.
