Let's face it....celebrities set many trends when it comes to makeup and hair and it only makes sense that brides want to emulate some of those looks.
I thought I would accumulate some of the most popular of those celebrity pictures in this blog to demonstrate the most fashionable bridal makeup and hair trends for 2011 and give some tips on which look may just be suitable for you.

Who can pull these looks off?
Very confident brunette or dark haired women who regularly wear makeup and like a very glamorous look. These are the women who will often show me images of Kim Kardashian and ask for something similar to the images below. Indian brides love this look as well as women with darker skin tones. You need very good bone structure to pull these looks off including defined eyebrows, almond shaped eyes and a full lip.

If there is one celebrity I've seen more pictures of than anyone else, it's gotta be Eva! She is the inspiration for many brides. I think Eva can pull off many different looks. (she just has so many wonderful features...where do I begin?) These 2 images are by far the most popular among my brides.

The best thing about these inspirational pictures is the fact that many women can pull off similar looks to these. These looks work best if your hair is shoulder length or longer and you want a unstructured modern look that is traditional in it's feel.

| Hairwise this is a winner for 2011! I can't tell you how many of my brides want this style or something very similar. It's a great wedding day hairstyle. Makewise - I'm not a fan of this makeup. The foundation is too heavy, the bronzer is overdone and the frost around the inner corner of her eyes really doesn't photograph well. The makeup looks dated. But hey, her hair rocks!!! : ) |
Isn't Beyonce just stunning? I love so many things about Beyonce but especially her sense of style. Beyonce is beautiful, there is no question. She really can pull off so many different looks. Whether it's simple elegance, dramatic evening or the girl next door look, Beyonce works each look like no one else can!

Many brides infact can but in particular these looks work well on Latin American women or women who have an olive tone to their skin and good bone structure. Many of my Italian brides love Jennifer! She always radiants classic beauty which makes her a winner for brides considering elegant wedding hair and makeup styles.

The rumour mill claims that Kate did her own makeup but was given lessons beforehand from a top London makeup artist. Well...I have to say, well done to her if that was the case. There have been and will continue to be skeptics about her makeup and hair and people who claim she looked too understated or too overdone, etc. The list from the cynics goes on and on but let's face it...she really did look very pretty whether you liked everything about her hair and makeup or not. And she glowed. Isn't that what every bride should want for her big day? I believe Kate demonstrates what many brides are looking for now-a-days. They want to look like the very best version of themselves on their big day.
