When creating a bridal hairstyle, sprays are used to help set the hair and/or finish the hairstyle. The sprays used very often leave a residue on the face. It's not intentional but sprays are just that. Sprays! So they do linger in the air around your hair and fall right onto your face, shoulders, etc. A professional makeup artist should always "prep" your skin properly prior to applying makeup. Part of this "prep" work is to ensure your face is clean so that a flawless look is achieved.
If you leave your hairstyling until after your makeup is complete you risk having a film of hairspray being placed onto your face which not only dulls the skin but can affect the stability of your applied makeup (may give it a more blotchy affect.) You also run the risk of your face being irritated or itchy from the spray. Remember that once your bridal makeup is complete and set, there isn't much you can do about removing it unless you want to wash it all off and start again. Probably not the most cost effective idea!!
If you do choose to have your hairstyle done after your makeup application you will need to be aware of these facts and use precautions to ensure your face does not have or has minimal amounts of spray placed on it. I recommend placing a towel over your face while your hair is being sprayed. If time is limited you can do both hair and makeup at the time but again, be careful that you protect your face from the spray!
See you all soon!
